I have ALWAYS wanted to see ancient Egypt, but as it was intended to be seen, not as ruins. So, of course I built it all in 3d using 3ds Max and Unreal Engine 5. As usual, that was awesome, but I wasn’t done yet! I wanted to actually be there and see it for real, so there was no better option then taking into Virtual Reality. But, would this even work? I have been claiming that I created the "Ultimate" archviz project, but what does that really mean? I get tons of comments saying stuff like, "it would have been better in X software." In this video I am going to put that to the test, and re-create my favorite UE5 project, but this time in Twinmotion. I want to explore whether I can get similar results or not, and maybe I will find that some el...

Blender Sculpting 3ds Max Baked Normals Workflow
how can you say this is pretty??? Its terrible.... bleh
🙄
Nice. I'm working on the next ultimate Archviz project for Unreal; a 60k square foot luxury home. I am going to showcase the whole thing.
Awesome! That sounds like a lot of work 😰 Can't wait to see it
The pyramid(Fulcrum)actually has 8 sides not 4. because it's showing the balance between the two worlds you live in the physical(mechanical advantage)and mental(emotionaladvantage). The 8 side only visible 2 times a year because it's trying to show you balance of cycles. GOOGLE 8 sided pyramid you'll see. Once you know what it truly is. It's teachings soooo many things that's why it's on the 1 dollar bill.
Brilliant work, I feel you could of taken more artistic licence in beautifying the buildings and walk ways. With flowering plants and mosaic's because the Egyptian kings liked to show their opulence. Fantastic work, Aztec next?
Yep. This one can be taken so much further.
Please tell me you're helping the Dawnless Days project! You're awesome brother
Now you need to add Osgiliath 😬
Did you forget the stargate?
Oh yeah!
11:28 I love 3ds max I'm from India, every time lengent one step before, 3ds max really difficulty i understood, once u understand u are the hero. ..
Awesome, I did a digital 3d reconstruction of the Ishtar Gate of Babylon and implemented an AI character into the unreal scene to explain the architecture. I think this way of exploring and learning about history is a fascinating way.
Absolutely 💯 That is why I wanted to do this. It is the future, IMO
With Unreal Engine am I able to send a scene like this to a client in a format that they can explore the scene?
Nice work. I hope that you also can win more points in Haas this year!
🤣🤣🤣 Kevin Magnusson? I'll take it 👍
Nice work, one thing I would suggest is that the Sphinx's head was probably much bigger originally, it's also possible that it was just a regular Lion's head.
A couple people suggested this. I'll have to look into it. 👍
@@Learn-archViz I was lucky enough to go to Cairo many years ago and see the Pyramids, the Sphinx and saw King Tut's mask at the Cairo museum. It actually brought me to tears, it was quite overwhelming. It was also nearly 50 degrees, so it could have been that!
@@petenorris2133 That is awesome! I have a similar reaction when I see things built by humans so long ago and with amazing craftsmanship. So cool
ahh exactly what I needed! thanks !
Please make this purchasble in the Unreal Marketplace!!! <3
One of the things I'm planning when I hit 100k, possibly 🤞
In case anyone is interested in making a project like this (like me) I'll share some information with you (I didn't test it): Nanite is compatible with VR but have some problems, but if used properly you can add models with millions of polygons to a vr scene without a 4080ti dynamic lights with lumen is almost impossible, it is recommended to use baked lights
Holy moly! How about King's Landing from game of thrones?
I think you look like Steve Zahn, and even sound like him (but specifically while he is recording his nature show in Strange Wilderness)
LOL. Steve is definitely the one I hear all the time, and yes, people claim my mannerisms and voice are similar too. I don't really see it, but so many strangers have told me this, so I guess there is something there 😆 Thanks for watching!
The realism is lost somwhere. It looks like a plastic miniature model. Mountains contours are too sharp. Bad fog and grass rendering... Not a hater.
You're not wrong. If I wanted absolute realism, I might try and set it up with path tracing
I signed up recently to the studio, but not able to get a realistic 3D view of the structure/building/street, Is the 3D view limited for some cities only?
Name of the Soundtrack during the cinematic?
Crazy impressive. This vid should have more views.
Thanks! I agree 😁 Honestly, is still performing pretty well
Absolutely brilliant, would you like to collaborate on a project regarding ancient Egypt?
Maybe at some point. I could dedicate a whole channel just to that, I'm sure. For now, I am on to my next big project for the moment. Thanks for watching.
I don't know if someone answered your grass shadow issue, but here are a few options I've found: 1. If you need raytraced shadows from landscape grass actors, use the cvar: r.RayTracing.Geometry.LandscapeGrass 1. Shadows for this object are off by default. 2. Console Variable for solving buggy shadows: r.Raytracing.Shadows.EnableTwoSidedGeometry 0 3. If shadows are being culled at a set distance from the camera, try the console command r.Raytracing.Geometry.InstancedStaticMeshes.Culling 0, or try changing the “Max Trace Distance”: PostProcessVolume->Details Panel->Global Illumination->Lumen Global Illumination 4. Make landscape grass not disappear while using path tracing: r.RayTracing.Geometry.LandscapeGrass 1 5. Are shadows being culled at a distance? Use this command: r.RayTracing.Culling 0
I figure at 72 i don't have time left for U5. You have plenty. Carry on, and success.
Thanks! A huge majority of my viewers are in the 20-30 range, so I'm glad you found this and hopefully enjoyed it!
middle earth is not only consists of helms deep and minas tirith.. like the USA not only consists of washington
So, you're saying I need to build some more stuff? 😁
Can this model be converted into an STL for 3D printing?
In theory, sure. 3d geometry is 3d geometry, but there are a lot of considerations when doing 3d printing that I did not think about here at all (not necessary for this), so it would need to be adapted a lot.
One day we'll get a LOTR game that pays artists for work like this and expands on them to create a fully open world middle earth. One can always dream
That would be incredible!
Great work. One point. Make the sphinxs face correct. It represents modern Egypt, not ancient.
Hey guys, dumb question... What are the chances of me running a VR project like this on an M1 Macbook? I'm literally typing this while crying because that is all I can afford. LOOOL This is such astonishing work, and I want to do this too.
You should do Isengard.
Always a possibility
@@Learn-archViz love to see it!!!!!
Great work. Two questions. How many people and how long did they take at Weta to give us the movie version? You did all this alone and it’s excellent. The other question, can you show Minas Tirith on a real-time time-lapse from just before dusk until several hours later and into the night? I think the lighting shift would be super challenging but spectacular. And there isn’t much to see out there of Minas Tirith at night. It would be unique and perfect for and ambiance video.
Thanks Adam Z
maravilloso
Im sorry, but you could have taken some time and do some research to do the pyramids right...
What is your issue with them? I took a little bit of artistic license with them, and also didn't give the Great Pyramid 8 sides. These are pretty minor. What else?
@@Learn-archViz I dont know, 4 sides vs 8 sides is pretty important if you ask me, besides the fact it is easy to make in 3D software.
@@madigorfkgoogle9349 Okay, well I guess we would have different goals for a project like this, and a different idea of what is a successful project. The concave walls are very subtle and only noticeable at very specific times, so it would not have changed what I am trying to do here at all. If accuracy was my #1 goal, which maybe it is for you, then it would be important.
@@Learn-archViz Well, since you titled your video "Amazing Re-Creation of Ancient Egyptian Pyramids in VR" one can hope it is re-creation and not artistic imagination, right? So if your No.1 goal was to do artistic impression, then do not title your video a re-creation in VR.... Im really not "Amazed".
@madigorfkgoogle9349 Okay, man 👍 Next time I'll consult you first
Another great video, im learning a lot from your channel, do you have a tutorial for the night and day slider? thanks!
Just the stuff I have here on RUclips. I have the beginnings of a blueprints tutorial on here which starts to show the basic principles of how it works. My paid UE5 course does go more in-depth on it too with how to set up a UI slider and link it to time of day.
@@Learn-archViz Wow thats great, can you share the link to your UE5 course where i can learn those functions? I am a beginner in UE5 Archviz and I really like your approach and method, I would like to incorporate it in a test project i am working on right now. thanks
@@urakis pro-courses.learnarchviz.com/p/ue4-an-advanced-real-time-arch-viz-project
Very cool!😲
You should’ve done a Lore accurate Minas Tirith. Would love to see the Pelennor Fields.
I lot of people have requested similar. It would be cool, because a lot more of the creative interpretations would be left up to me. Maybe I will come back to this at some point.
Hi Adam, Do you add & update this new project into Unreal learning course on learn archviz pro?
My latest projects have been just for youTube, except for my architectural walk-through one with Unreal. I did add a lot of new content from that project.
Awesome stuff, I love the effort you have put in to create this, I've done basic stuff in Blender (Donut tutorial) which I loved, just need more hrs in a day to learn so much more, VR is fantastic when the maps/models are good, I'm still on a 1070 so don't think my system would do so well with UE5 VR projects, may get to do one when I retire and have upgraded! lol. After playing Elite Dangerous in VR mode I can't go back to flatscreen! I would love to see a valley of the kings in full VR, especial KV5 Ramesses II family tomb.
Yeah, there are so many cool applications, but like you, I need way more time in a day 🙂
on zero budget by one guy it's more than a movie studio stuff...
You get it! Thanks!
Even Gpu simulate the heat of the desert incredible!
😅
You did Gucci Keep going
😎
Would be cool to have a walk around version
This might happen in the future 🤞
aww man your pyramids only have 4 sides, how are you supposed to observe the sun at dawn and dusk on the spring and autumn equinoxes
This has been brought up several times so I might have to actually adjust. I believe it only applies to The Great Pyramid.
Amazing work!!
Thank you!
Why did you tire yourself out? If you played Assassin's Creed Origins, you would have the same experience anyway.
I enjoy the process, learning new things, and having full control over the finished result. Same answer when people say "just use AI"
I was thinking the same thing lol😅
You missed the most important part, LIGHT THE BEACON
That would be a cool addition
Fantastic! Thank you for sharing this project. I've got something similar in mind, and may call on you when the time is right. Happy days...
wow - this is so amazing! Thx 𓂀
